Jonas Juozapas Tiškevičius palace have been designed and build by state councillor Ignacy Karbanovich in 1859 and was the first representative example of historicism style house in Neris quay. In 1891 the palace was bought by Trakų Vokė count Jan Józef Tyszkiewicz, who reconstructed the building according to the design of architect K. Maciulevičius. The newly build orangerie gave the building an unique look. In 1940 the palace was nationalized and handed over to the Vilnius district hospital. The doctors and personel of the Red Cross hospital, that was located in this building, where saving human lives day and night and was treating the victims of Soviet Union aggression during the 1991 January 13th events.
Jonas Juozapas Tiškevičius palace, Lithuanian cultural heritage size, has been entrusted to the team of „Medžio dizainas“ for restoration works. During the restoration of the doors, the following work was carried out:
removal from the site,
removal of the old paint,
sanding,
reconstruction of the missing wooden parts,
repair of the frame,
panting,
renewal of the metal elements,
installation at the site.
